Although Aldine ISD is closed during the week of March 16, due to the novel coronavirus, the district encourages and highly recommends that students continue learning at home during the extended break.

To continue learning, Aldine has created a newly developed website to support distance learning via Clever. The at-home learning web page provides details on digital learning options. The website lists both online and non-digital student and parent resources for extended learning at home. Parents and students will be able to login and gain access to the resources available to their student by grade level. All district digital resources can be accessed on all mobile devices (Apple or Android smartphones), tablets, iPads, Laptops, Chromebooks or PCs.

While things are uncertain, we want to ensure that students are still able to learn at home. Aldine ISD is committed to ongoing student learning opportunities while the district is closed. The website is available for access to various learning materials. The site also lists some tips for successful digital learning days.

Please log into the Clever Portal now to see all resources. If you have difficulty logging in to Clever, please contact your child’s homeroom teacher directly by email or any digital platform (Remind, ClassDojo) they have provided you for communication. The district is encouraging parents to check the Aldine ISD At-Home Learning site often, as updates and new information will be added frequently.

Online learning resources can be valuable while in-person interaction is limited, however, offline learning can be just as powerful. This is the time for students to unlock new interests and talents.

Try out some offline learning opportunities:

  • Schedule time for play
  • Use card games to practice math
  • Read a book out loud for the whole family to enjoy
  • Make time to do something creative
    • Practice an instrument
    • Write a story
    • Paint or Draw
  • Read the newspaper as a family

Please share your At-Home Learning Time with Aldine ISD on FacebookTwitter, and Instagram and use the hashtag #WeAreAldine.
