Aldine ISD to Host Virtual Session for Male Students June 16

On Tuesday, June 16 Aldine ISD will facilitate a virtual discussion, Real Men. Real Talk. A Candid Conversation about Race and Life in America. The virtual conversation, held on zoom, is designed to be a safe space for male, secondary students (grades 6-12) to discuss race, society, and the current tensions following the recent protests and unrest connected to the death of George Floyd.

“We are committed to ensuring schools are designed to be places where students can thrive academically and socially. That includes highlighting student voices and building stronger and genuine relationships with staff,” said Aldine ISD Superintendent Dr. LaTonya M. Goffney.

The discussion is closed to the public and will be facilitated by male district leaders including administrators, principals, counselors, teachers, and coaches from across the district. District partner, Education Elements will host the event.
