Historical Black College Tour (HBCU)

This year marks the 24th year that Gibbs Travel has sponsored its’ annual Historical Black College Tour(HBCU). While on tour, students attend a 30 minute admissions informational session, a Q&A, along with a campus tour.

One of the most compelling and important reasons to tour a college is to see it firsthand, and our goal is to expose students to HBCU’s and the plethora of choices that are offered.

2020 Aerospace Career Education (ACE) Academy

For 44 years, the Organization of Black Aerospace Professionals (OBAP) has been creating innovative programs to encourage and advance minorities in all aviation aerospace careers. These programs include impactful Supporting, Transforming, Educating, Mentoring, training, scholarships and ‘Project Aerospace’ (our youth-focused education programs). To date, OBAP has engaged more than 30,000 youth between the ages of 13-18 to go through our ACE Academies around the U.S. Our goal is to continue changing lives and creating pathways of success by educating youth in the aerospace and aviation industries.

In June and July of 2020, we will hold (2) ACE Academies in Houston, engaging 75 students in our local community. This week-long experience will be an interactive, hands-on experience in the aerospace industry. Our goal is for each student to learn about these industries and career paths available to them that we desperately need. Please see a glimpse of our ACE Academy in this VIDEO.

The session will start promptly at 8:00 A.M. and 10:00 A.M. We will hold a briefing where we will share all the information you need to take advantage of this opportunity, followed by a Q & A session.
